Wicked Lake, what I like to call Wicked 'Luke', being it stars one of my favs Luke Y. Thompson from the ever great film Mad Cowgirl, is a priceless "piece of junk" AND I LOVE IT. I could watch this film once a day and be happy as sh8t. The cast of all young talents lurking through the underground filmmaking in Hollywood, is like no other. Everyone playing their part to the "T". All the witches are hot, ready, and skin eating machine. By far, the best scenes, are the underlying plot line of two detectives on the haunt for these four ******* spell castor's, which independent film hero, Tim Thomerson, undeniable plays his best character ever as a drug snorting gumshoe. To my surprise, Damien DeKay (Terror Firmer), once again, raised the bar for these types of cinema masterpieces. When I said "priceless piece of junk" I was being to harsh trying to achieve a catchy one liner/header in the first few sentences. The FX and continuity are superb for this low budget genre. A MUST MUST SEE!

This movie sucks really bad. The trailer seemed promising. Within a few minutes, I had a feeling that I had just thrown away my money. The story sucked and the acting was so bad, there are 2 police officers who after a while make you feel like you're watching another sequel to the Naked Gun series. I was waiting for Leslie Nielsen to pop out. I also noticed that alot of the people in attendance must have been the cast/crew and/or friends who probably got in for free (which pissed me off cause I had to pay). When the movie started, they cheered at the credits. Obviously they are proud of their friends. Let me just say if they are true friends, they should be honest as to how bad this movie sucked. Well, to make a long story short, we walked out on it. Another good example of a movie that gives a bad name to independent film making. People cheered at the credits and I still do not understand why. Maybe it was their first time watching it? A rude awakening of bad film making. CRAP!!!!!!!!

Here comes Wicked Lake. Paying for this movie was like throwing your money into a paper shredder. I would have gotten more enjoyment out of seeing my money chewed up by the machine, and it would have saved me those wasted hours watching this movie. I think the team at the Egyptian needs to screen these movies before they offer them for sale to patrons. Showing movies like this garbage make it impossible later to get support for real artists work. Please, please, please ban this director and team from showing again at your theater. It gives real independent pictures a bad name and your patrons a bad taste in their mouths. Kind of like drinking in from Wicked Lake.
